Christmas kick-off

We started the night with dinner at G&G Smith's where Lola happily relocated all of Gma's teddy bears.

From dinner we headed to the tree lot by our house which was selling trees from Estacada Oregon, near where I grew up. They had over priced Charlie Brown trees complete with sticky-mess candy canes. Yeah!

Nick couldn't be happier.

Keyton wasn't excited at all.

After the tree lot cane whetted her appetite, Lola proceeded to find and eat every 5-year-old-sap-covered candy cane we took away from her.

Tree's up, is it bed time yet?!

Snow day

Snow days don't mean the same thing as a mother as they did when I was a teacher. Sigh.

Lola only wanted to eat it and has been enjoying the grayish leftover traces in the parking lot ever since.

He has no idea how heavy those snow boulders are. I'm too old for this stuff, my back was killing me.

Knocking the snow off the branches.

Lola turns 2

Grandpa grew the pumpkin, Mom made the pie.

Keyton helped unwrap presents. Dad caught it all on film.

Tom assembled.

Gramma posed.

Lola ignored the camera and focused on the party and gifts.

Happy birthday Lola!

Thanksgiving-palooza

Thanksgiving prep included Kyle and I making 3 pies, 30 lbs of rolls, and black bean pineapple enchiladas. Yum.

Get in my belly.

Clean plate club.

Turkey coma.

Turkey leg.

The cousin's played together fantastically.

Bless this family that Grandpa Great will feel better and BSU will win.

So much football.

And lot and lots of video games.

Natalie ponders how Thanksgiving felt weird this year without Becky, who spent lots of the weekend offering support to her parents when her dad went to the hospital and was thankful for pain killers instead of Turkey dinner. Avery agreed, but for different reasons. "Yeah, there was a new boy!" (Meaning my brother Kyle).

Silliness.

Christmas movies on Grandma's bed, so exciting!

Sugar cookies with Grandma.

Quality time with Auntie Em.

Birthday girls.

After football had finally passed, we played games and were not surprised to find we all enjoy each others company. Especially the company of those who cheat in games.

Goodbye Kyle!!
