Chickens

Nick's first step toward full-time urban homesteader. These chicks (Scott, Featherweight, Kyle, Artemis and Dora) are headed for our backyard as soon as they get their feathers and we finish the coop.

I'm inside, they're out. Awesome. Also, this is our kitchen and the white structure in the back is the garage.

This is the way we trim the tree. . .

We had a tree in our front yard that desperately needed a haircut. Nick did the cutting.

Keyton found treasures and hauled branches.

Lola occupied the teepee.

It's always fun when Grandpa comes. . . .

My dad called me Thursday and asked if he could come the next day for a weekend visit to see the kids and our new house. He hurt his back and instead of lamenting a lost ski trip, he did the second best thing and drove 12 hours in less than 24. It was fun to have him.

Keyton showed off his bike riding skills on the big bike.

Lola was not impressed.

Here we are dining at the Boise Fry Company, the ketchup is clearly the best part.
