December the 25th

Toddler-proof decorating: ornaments only on the top third of the tree, stalkings hung way above the chimney with care.

Keyton's program. He has inherited my Grandpa Mickey's singing voice - hence a speaking part.

Lola takes after another relative - her voice raising above the rest carrying the preschool show. After the program parents suggested I might want to sign her up for acting camp, a compliment I assume? My favorite part was when the teachers read the children's Christmas wishes they had made for others. Naomi wished her sister would get a pony, Jacob his brother would get a bike, etc. Lola's Christmas wish was "for my mom that she would get more sleep and dream of stars". I may have cried a little. Probably because I need more sleep.

Christmas morning spoils

Christmas dinner at the Eschens. Rowan and Keyton wrestled and made rubber band rings. Lola and Finn hid in the closet and took care of stuffed animal patients. Mads charmed everyone and hijacked any grandpa he could find. Nick and I ate good food and laughed a lot.

Santa Claus is coming to town

I can't remember what Keyton asked for. Pokemon cards?

Lola asked for an ipod. Santa shot her down. Smart man.

Mads asked to get off the creepy man's lap.
